Service Description Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC – “long guns - longer rifles and shotguns”) Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course (CRFSC – “handguns or shorter rifles/shotguns”) The PAL or RPAL license is required to Possess and Acquire firearms and ammunition. (Want to get a head start? Free study guides & quizzes are available through our site.) Anyone 12 years or older can take the Canadian Firearms Safety Course. Children under 12 can take the course, but only for educational purposes. They will not do the written or practical exams. To get a Minor's Licence to borrow and use non-restricted firearms, the minor must be between 12 and 17 years old. You must be 18 or over to obtain the CRFSC. Course Overview Duration & Schedule Two consecutive days or 3 evening nights Class time requirement: CFSC 8 hours + CRFSC 4 hours. Total 12 hours minimum through out the above schedule. Topics. • evolution of firearms, major parts, types and actions • basic firearms safety practices • ammunition • operating firearm actions (over 9 types of firearm actions) • safe handling and carry procedures • firing techniques and procedures • care of non-restricted firearms • responsibilities of the firearms owner/user • safe storage, display, transportation and handling of non-restricted firearms What to Bring Governmentissued photo ID Pen & notepaper (Optional) Exam Details Written: True/False & multiplechoice questions. Followed by Practical Exam: Handling assessment with deactivated firearms No additional fee—your exam is included in the course price Minor’s License Information Participants under 18 years of age may only obtain a nonrestricted firearms licence. Accordingly: Restricted portion of the exam is not available to minors Minors may borrow nonrestricted firearms with adult supervision for target practice, organized competitions, hunting or supervised instruction Ammunition acquisition permitted unless otherwise restricted by provincial/territorial law

No refunds or rescheduling will be provided for late participants; they must pay the full fee for future enrollment. No-Show Policy: A student is considered a no-show if they fail to attend after registering. No-shows are not eligible for a refund or rescheduling and must pay the full fee to re-enroll. Illness Policy: If you are unable to attend due to illness, notify Risk Pro Consulting before the course begins. A doctor’s note may be required to request a transfer to a different course date.
